When: Spring 2009
Course: Woodworking
Individual

As part of a woodshop elective during the spring of my fourth year I designed and built a serving board with a stand. The serving board was the first step of the project, and utilized patterns of overlapping and skewed grids in the design. The second element, the stand, utilized similar principals to develop the form and construction process. Both the board and stand used white oak, ash, and walnut, with highlights of lignum vitae.
