In playing around with the idea of the control of light using a simple material such as corrugated cardboard, I designed a pair of sconces that each contained a single fluorescent light bulb. Ninety-seven corrugated cardboard pieces were laser-cut for each sconce, and then glued together to create a fluid form that controlled the light and activated the surrounding space. As one walks by the sconces there is a drastic change in how the lights performs.
